Scott R. Sabreen is the Founder & President of The Sabreen Group, Inc., a plastics engineering consulting firm founded in 1992. Sabreen earned his Master of Science at the University of Texas Dallas Jindal School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering at Ohio State University. Upon graduation from OSU, Sabreen was hired by Texas Instruments Dallas, TX, where he became the Manufacturing Engineering Manager for the Global Positioning System (GPS) Space Navigation Satellite Receiver and rocket launch missions. Following TI, Sabreen became Director of Engineering, Quality Assurance & Machine Tooling & Facilities for AirBorn Connectors. During this time, Sabreen pioneered two significant technologies in the fields of plastics laser marking and plasma pretreatments, gaining international recognition. The Sabreen Group Inc. was founded in 1992.
Sabreen has over 30 years of experience in plastics manufacturing and has published over 150 technical papers. Sabreen is known internationally for his work in inventing and developing leading-edge process technologies in the fields of laser marking, adhesion bonding, plasma chemical pretreatments, product security, decorating & finishing, digital mass customization, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Sabreen has consulted for over 500 companies in 33 countries, earning over 12 patents for his clients and one as sole inventor. Multi-awarded consulting project highlights include:

Sabreen was selected by the United States Department of Justice as its laser expert witness in patent testimony in 2016. Sabreen is a Board Member of the Society of Plastics Engineers Decorating/Assembly Division, Technical Editor for Plastics Decorating Magazine, and expert engineer for Omnexus/SpecialChem, Intota-Guideline, and Nerac.
